Volunteers Needed – MRCA Planning and Development Committee

MRCA Planning and Development Committee (PDC) Volunteers

The PDC is looking to expand its volunteer ranks. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for
our community, who, of course live in our community and bring their skill sets to the table to help us see
our neighbourhood evolve in a manner that is both respectful of its past as well as adapting to its future.
Professional skill sets including landscape architecture, architecture, urban planning, law, engineering,
urban history, and real estate development are welcomed. A desire to learn, a desire to work with
residents and a desire to be part of a collaborative team, however, are the most important skill sets of
all.

Duties may include review of land use and development applications, hand delivery of meeting notices,
drafting responses to the City, participating in community meetings (virtual or in person) to review such
plans, drafting reports to be included in our newsletter, collaborating with other community
associations, and advocating for the community at City Hall.

Questions, reach out to Roy Wright, co-chair of the PDC at 403-607-8486 or roywright@shaw.ca.
