MRCA First Annual Tennis Tournament
July 17, 18 and 19, 2026
We have partnered for a double elimination knock out tournament with Bankview Community Association. All doubles tournament. Mens, womens and mixed. Maximum of 8 teams per category. The format will be double knockout in each category, guaranteeing a minimum of two matches per team. Entry limited to one event per person.
$35/person per event. MRCA membership required. Registration opens June 15and closes July 10.
Stampede BBQ
Each summer to kick off Stampede and bring the community together, the Mount Royal Community Association hosts a Stampede BBQ. Our next Stampede BBQ will take place on Thursday June 25, 2026. Tickets will be on sale soon. Stay tuned.
Community Cleanup
Reduce clutter and keep our neighbourhood clean. In conjunction with The City of Calgary our community cleanup event will help you safely dispose of household items that do not fit in your garbage cart, keeping our neighbourhood cleaner and more tidy. September 12, 2026. 9am – 2pm at Earl Grey School.
MRCA Beer Festival
Lets get together on Thursday October 8, 2026 for a beer and neighbourhood cheer!
Annual Progressive Dinner
The annual Progressive Dinner held each November. This year it will be held on Saturday November 7, 2026. It offers MRCA members the chance to travel the community, dining and meeting new friends during a series of meal courses during a single evening at host homes throughout the neighbourhood.
Outdoor Skating
Each winter, families gather for a skating party, on our centrally located outdoor rink.
Wine and Cheese Evenings
Social events like Wine and Cheese evenings give community members a chance to catch up with friends and meet new friends. Our next Wine and Cheese Night is not scheduled. Stay tuned.
Mini-Mountaineer Playgroup
Our popular Mini-Mountaineer playgroup offers babies, toddlers, their parents and caregivers the opportunity to meet and play together every Wednesday morning (September through June) at the Mount Royal Station House. Longstanding Mount Royal friendships got their start here. MRCA members can stop by any Wednesday morning to learn more or indicate interest in joining the pre-school mailing list for more information.
78th Fraser Highlanders
In September, the 78th Fraser Highlanders hold a commemorative ceremony marking the Battle of the Plains of Abraham at South Mount Royal Park.
