Annual Progressive Dinner

The annual Progressive Dinner is usually held each November. After we have received significant feedback from potential hosts, community members and neighbours, we are unable to make this event date work due to the conflict with the fall break school schedule which extends the first two weekends of November between the public and charter schools. As such, a decision has been made by the Mount Royal Community Association to postpone the Progressive Dinner to a date in the spring, after spring break and easter break on Saturday April 24th, 2027.

For those members that are new or have not had an opportunity to attend the Progressive Dinner in previous years, this annual event starts with a host house reception which allows all attendees to mingle before going to the individual host homes for the dinner portion of the evening. After dinner, everyone reconvenes at the host dessert house to continue socializing. This is always a well attended commmunity event, with our 2025 event being our most attended ever! Attendance for this even is based entirely on the number of volunteer host homes we have. Host homes will be provided with the funds necessary for a caterer for dinner OR to prepare the meal themselves for their guests, whichever they prefer.
